Safe Dental Care During COVID-19

We’re pleased to book for all dental procedures. We’ve made modifications to some services and procedures for the safety of our patients and staff. While you may not be able to see the smiles beneath our masks, you can be sure that we’re smiling just as warmly as you remember.

New Policies & Procedures

Patient safety is our top priority, as we work within the firm guidelines directed by the ODA – Ontario Dental Association. Please contact us should you have any questions or concerns regarding current safety measures being taken at our dental office.

Our COVID-19 policies are reflective of Ontario’s Roadmap to Reopen plan; we are able to safely perform a full range of dental procedures. We are confident that our office is safe for you and your family to visit for your treatment.

Safety At Your Appointment

When you arrive, please phone us from your vehicle and we’ll let you know when to enter the practice. This allows us to adhere to social distancing practices and to provide a safe arrival intake for each patient. We are scheduling appointments to decrease traffic in the reception area and allow us to maintain social distancing.

You will be asked to use hand sanitizer and wear a mask when inside the clinic. Please arrive wearing a mask if you’re able to. If you don’t bring your own mask, we will provide one.

Questionnaire & Temperature

All patients must fill out a COVID-19 questionnaire for each appointment. You will be asked some screening questions at the time of booking and again when you arrive at the clinic. If you are unwell, we’ll reschedule your appointment to allow you time to recover fully.

We will take your temperature with a contactless thermometer upon arrival.

Social Distancing Inside

We ask that patients come alone or, if necessary for a parent or guardian, to only be accompanied by one other person. Only the patient will be allowed in the treatment room. We respectfully ask all other family members to remain in a vehicle or outside of the clinic.

All patients and team members are asked to maintain respectful distances in waiting areas and in the clinical area.

You will see plexiglass barriers at our reception desk to protect both staff and patients. Patients will be escorted to their treatment room before their appointments and accompanied on their way out after.

Vaccination for Health Care Workers

Our oral health care professionals including dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, dental therapists, and all other dental office workers such as office managers, and reception staff, are fully vaccinated; this is in accordance with Canadian Provincial and Territorial Government recommendations.

Air Filtration & Cleaning

We will be cleaning high-touch areas such as door handles as frequently as possible.

We have invested in air purifiers and HEPA filters to reduce the aerosols in our office to keep us all safe.

In addition, we have purchased “fog-in” units designed to sterilize all surfaces in our treatment rooms several times a day. All surfaces are wiped and sterilized between patients as well.

We have hired dedicated staff to maintain sterilization protocols within the office and installed barriers in all rooms to isolate aerosols further.

Cashless Payment

We are trying to maintain a cashless office. Please be prepared to pay for your appointment with a credit or debit card. We can also accept e-transfer payments.
